⬆️ Firmware & the guided Configurator

Choose the firmware before you provision — the two official builds are not equivalent. Set the same version in the Firmware on the devices box above and the checker will judge your file against it.

  • 1130.7 (latest official) — download S-RSEDWWC-1130.7 (USB package, all EMDX models). The only build where the preset can set up Wired / PoE+ and fleet auto-IP. Known issue: a sleeping panel cannot be woken remotely by the CMS on this build, so scheduled content updates wait for the panel's own next wake. Ask Samsung support for the hotfix build if remote wake matters to your deployment.
  • 1120 — remote wake of a sleeping panel works, but the preset is Wi-Fi only: no Wired / PoE+, and fleet auto-IP is ignored.
  • 1130.71 — a hotfix build that is not on the Download Center; obtain it through Samsung support. Same preset features as 1130.7.

1. Extract the .zip to the root of a FAT32 USB-C stick, keeping its folder structure — the files must land at \S-RSEDWWC\image\ (with upgrade.msd and info.txt inside), directly in the root, not nested.

2. With the device powered on, insert the stick into the USB-data port (USB icon, not the power-plug port). The update starts automatically when the stick holds a newer version.

3. Let it finish and reboot (a few minutes) — don't cut power or pull the stick mid-update. Then verify the version in the Samsung E-Paper app.

Network (mandatory)
Wired / PoE+ provisioning via USB preset needs FW 1130.7+; on FW 1120 the whole preset fails. (PoE can also be set from the Samsung E-Paper mobile app on 1120.)
8–63 characters. Type it by hand — don't paste from email/chat (hidden spaces & smart quotes cause "Network connection failed").
Low-Power Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only and optional. Leave it OFF if your network has no 2.4 GHz SSID, or you don't need remote-wake / will use Deep Sleep. Including it on an unsupported network shows “Failed items: Low Power WiFi” on the device — that is a soft result: the device still finishes setup and the main radio works.
Required basics
"Agree" requires the device to reach *.samsungqbe.com within ~28 s at OOBE.
Content & display (optional — leave defaults if unsure)
Sleep/wake (SleepMode), clock (DateTime/NTP), screen-protection time and custom-app timeout are valid preset options but are not generated here yet. Tip: SleepMode values are Off / Sleep / DeepSleep (case-sensitive), and Timer is the idle delay in minutes before sleeping (5–1439) — not a wake clock-time. The preset cannot wake the device at a set time.
